A Travelogue - Der Deutche Sommer

Der Deutche Sommer is a book which we take 2 minutes to pronounce the name of but once you get the book and start reading, it won’t allow you to even take out another 2 minutes to have a break. The book is a travelogue where an Indian author Arnab Chakroborty has pen downed his experiences in Germany.

Arnab is a student who went from India to Germany on a student exchange program i.e. Deutcher Akademischer Austausch Dienst or German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). This book is more like a memoir of all his journey experiences that took place in Germany including his unforgettable incident of getting lucky to watch FIFA Soccer World Cup 2010 live!

The 3 months journey and episode of Arnab’s life has been converted into a book together with which he has included the history, culture and the lifestyle of Germany. Writing a book gave the author an opportunity to put his thoughts and experiences on paper and make it reach the world easily.

This book is majorly helpful for those who are going ahead to be a part of Germany soon. The book also shares Arnab getting lucky to get an opportunity to fly to the UK where he visits the historical places and gets overwhelmed. Arnab also talks about his personal liking he felt for the beautiful German women who made him to visit one of the famous Amsterdam red light district. Thus, if you want to have a quick journey and visualize Germany sitting in your own comfort zone, it’s one of the best books to go through J
